BRIEF HISTORY : The club was founded in 1979 by the Actonville community. The facilities were provided by the Benoni City Council (Ekurhuleni as it is now known). It was a non-racial club from the outset although administration was mostly in the hands of its Indian members. According to Cassim Suliman (former chairman), miners in the area as well as farmers from the Eastern Cape and teachers in Benoni played a pioneering role.
